A Note of Gratitude from TFC

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on all the blessings God has given us—what I like to call “Giving Thanks Day.” There are many things for us to be thankful for at Toccoa Falls College. I’m grateful for our wonderful students, our dedicated faculty and staff, and the beautiful environment in which we get to study and work. We truly have so much to be thankful for.

It’s Thanksgiving Day, I want to encourage you to think about what you’re thankful for. What has God done for you over this past year? It is scriptural to give thanks:

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18.

Whether this year has been a good one or a difficult one, Scripture says to “give thanks in all circumstances.”

Over the past year, we’ve talked about several projects progressing around campus; projects that directly support students, faculty, and staff, and many of which have been made possible through Giving Tuesday.

So, what is Giving Tuesday? It is a time when we focus our giving specifically on helping the college with needs that fall outside our regular budget—special projects, unexpected expenses, and initiatives that directly benefit our campus community. Giving Tuesday provides focused support that allows us to better serve students, faculty, and staff through the generosity of people like you.

May I encourage you to consider giving to Toccoa Falls College to impact the lives of the wonderful people who are here every day? To those of you who have given in the past—thank you. We are deeply grateful for your generosity. Your giving is invested back into the Kingdom of God. We also understand that some may not be in a financial position to give, but you can still offer the greatest gift: prayer. Pray for TFC; for our faculty, staff, students, and for all that goes on at the college. We are counting on you for Giving Tuesday, and we thank you for being a part of all that God is doing in and through TFC.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and we are thankful for each of you. May God bless you!
