Toccoa Falls is located on the campus of the University of Toccoa Falls. It is a 186’ free-falling waterfall that is easily accessed from a 100-yard graveled path. Toccoa Falls is one of the tallest free-falling waterfalls east of the Mississippi River and draws thousands of visitors to its waters each year.
The Falls are privately owned by the University, but open to the public with a $2 entrance fee paid inside the Gift Shop at Gate Cottage.
Hours of Operation
Monday- Friday: 10AM to 4PM
Saturday-Sunday: 12PM to 4PM

Hours of operation are subject to change at any time due to holidays, campus closures, or scheduled events. The Falls may be closed to public visitors on the day-of or days surrounding the following:
- Labor Day
- Veteran’s Day
- Fall Break: Second or Third Weekend of October
- Winter Break: Last 2 Weeks of December
- Christmas
- New Year’s
- MLK Day
- President’s Day
- Spring Break: Second Week of March
- Good Friday
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
